Summary)
     The goal of economic development is not only economic growth, but also the development of people's welfare. And the measures that can measure this are 'life impactancy' and 'adult literacy'. We have developed a lot compared to the past, but we still have a long way to go. Especially the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia still need to develop a lot. The objectives to be achieved are as follows:'improving human wellness directly', 'investing in social development does not generate all by itself', 'making social programs work is not simple'. There are many educational stories at the beginning of this article. And several graphs were talking about the importance of education, of which chart 4 shows that educated women have healthier children. In Africa, if a child's mother is an uneducated person, the rate at which her child dies before the age of five is one in five. On the other hand, educated women have fewer children considering factors such as family planning, health and family income. And furthermore, educated adults get the most nutritious food from their income. In conclusion, the point of this article is that investing in social development is investing in a good economy, and the next generation can get more education and be healthier than before.
 

 
What's interesting, what's new?)
     I was surprised that Korea had a very high rate of joining schools after economic development, but unfortunately, countries like Africa did not. This is because African countries live relatively dependent lives on natural resources. The reason why education is important is that you can earn a bigger income after education. After reading these articles, I thought that the reason why Korea developed so fast was because many people were passionate about education.

    I agree with the text that education is the most important factor in social development. Because through education we can learn something and apply it. Not only that, but also through universal education, people can acquire the basics that society needs. This will allow anyone with a universal education to practice the minimum that society desires from individuals for development.
