W12/ ICT, Development, and Poverty Reduction/ Lee Hayoung

1.Summary
The development of technology is the biggest factor and foundation for the explosive development of this society. Among them, the most important element of ICT development is the popularization of mobile phone use. Compared to the past, cell phones can be used anywhere today, which is why information can be shared even on the other side of the globe. This has helped to eliminate information inequality and allow people in the lower classes to see a lot of information. This sharing of information and the reach of information have helped many people protect their rights.

2. What was interesting
Anyone would feel that the quality of human life has improved due to the development of technology. However, a new form of cyber-bullying has emerged, which could help and undermine the rights of others at the same time. I once again realized that mankind is always developing technology for life, but always accompanied by problems.

3. Discussion Point
How should information inequality be addressed for people at the bottom who can't even have a cell phone? Also, we may have gained the economics of behavior through the use of cell phones, but have we gained or lost more freedom of life?

Q. Society is not determined by technology, nor is technology determined by society. Both emerge as two sides of the sociotechnical coin. What is meant by that? A.
