If the current rich countries are aging, and their population will decrease, 

how can it affect the world society 

in few decades?


     It can occur in a number of problems in ten years from now. Once the younger generation, or the population that can actively engage in economic activities, is reduced. Fewer people are able to work actively, making it difficult for the country's economy to be globally competitive. And the number of people who can support the elderly population decreases, causing problems. There are many well-to-do countries in Western Europe. However, if the number of dependents decreases, the number of senior citizens who are responsible for each young person will increase in the future. 

     Therefore, it can be difficult to maintain a good welfare system at present. In other words, the birth rate means the future of the country. As a result, rich countries with an aging population and shrinking birth population are proposing various birth-promoting policies for future.
