W9 / Demography / Lee hayoung

1. Summary
Before proposing complex theories to illustrate social phenomena, sociologists should first use demographic indicators for possible explanations. Demographic analysis is a powerful tool for explaining various social phenomena. Demographic statistics play an important role as the basis for research because they have the same roots as sociology in social changes involving science and industrial revolution.

2. What was interesting
Today, Korean society is facing a variety of social changes due to changes in the birth rate, followed by problems caused by low birth rates. On the contrary, however, there are more problems even if the population becomes overpopulated. From food to infectious diseases, there are many factors that pose a threat to the survival of mankind. I didn't know the damage caused by overpopulation would be so enormous, and that was why it was interesting.

3. Discussion Point
In general, countries with side effects from overpopulation are developing countries. So is it first to help address the overpopulation or to help lay the foundation for the nation itself, regardless of population?
