Youtube video: Economies of the Future
I think there are many topics relevant to social development. However, because at my home university I'm focusing on many economic-related subjects, I decided to choose the video: Economies of the Future.
The video asks the questions on how will the future look, how technology already influences our lives, and how it will be in the future. The video is bringing also future challenges that we will have to face. How the future will be in a world where every step will be recorded. How our data are becoming a currency or a subject of trade. Our life will change a lot and the video presents possible scenarios. However, there are also threats to our future lives such as energy (our supplies are neither safe nor stable), waste utilization problems, and overall automatization resulting in the shrinking job market. The video discusses different possibilities that may happen in the future like digitalization of the currency, the future of the cities (when a lot will be possible to do from home), the future of transportation (with smart cars), the future of agriculture, a problem with future currencies and the stability of the commodities. The economy is being run on the sense of purpose and people's having their personal goals. So to figure out what will be the future economy, we need to know what people want. The only thing that we can say more certainly about the future economy is that it will grow to more of the remote work, remote learning, and overall more technology being involved.

I agree that we should think about economies of the future. With the exploding population and the amount of waste, we are facing huge problems. It would be very important to predict that because the economies of the future is so closely linked to our lives.
