Week 3 | How useful the WB pages are compared to Wikipedia description? | Lee Jaeseong

The WB page said that the description of social development places importance on "the need to think about people first." On this page, social development is said to work with the underprivileged to foster economic growth and consequently improve the quality of life.
On the other hand, Wikipedia refers to advances in politics, society, and technology as social development. Unlike the WB page, it talks about the overall development of society as well as economic development.

The biggest difference is that the WB page focuses on the poor and Wikipedia expands its overall focus on society. This difference is because the 'social development' of the WB page is a project and the description of it is given on this page. In other words, more details of social development theory can be obtained from Wikipedia, while the WB page can be found about social development projects organized by the World Bank.

The WB page, along with support for the poor, can improve the quality of life through economic growth, it said. So, do you think the most important thing in social development is overcoming the gap between the rich and the poo

  1. I think economic development is also important in social development. Therefore, it is also important to solve the problem of the poor and the poor. However, the development of human intelligence is also important for social development. This week we learned that there is economic development and development of human ideology, which can be seen as the society's social development only when the two parts develop properly.

    1. It would be better if both were to develop. I don't think there is an answer no matter what comes first. I think improving the overall quality of life is more important than the gap between the rich and the poor.
