W6. Green consumption/ Seoyoung Um

Green consumption is closely related to the concept of sustainable development or sustainable consumer behavior. This is a consumption that protects the environment for the present and next generations. Examples are consumer responsibility or joint responsibility for solving environmental problems through use of organic agricultural products, and through actions such as cleanliness and renewable energy.

Even when I was young, I couldn't find the word "green consumption" easily, but it seems that I started to listen to it more and more as I grew older. In particular, I felt it when I saw a store that specializes in selling Yukinun products. Unlike the past, when it was not used much because it was expensive, it seems that quite a few people are now using organic agricultural products for their health and the environment.

Green consumption includes green energy and green fashion for environmentally friendly foods. What other activities are called green consumption?

In Korea people are using Naver more than Google or other searching programs.  There is a competitive battle going on between Naver and Google, therefore I listed a few pros and cons of using Naver instead of Google. Are human rights universal?        Human rights are universally a basic right that everyone should be respected. The theory, however, is universal, but there are differences between people in actually respecting human rights. The scope of human rights respected depends on the country, region, etc. to which the person belongs. Still, countries like India do not legally exist, but are still discriminated against in substance. And some Arab countries are still discriminated against on the basis of gender. And the people of poor countries in Africa have nothing to eat, and there are areas where life is difficult to maintain, so human rights to life cannot be respected. In the past, China's population-restricted policies and others have made some people in China think they are not in the world because their existence is not legally registered, and they do not have human rights.
