Why are you taking this class?/ Changyu Jung
I started to take classes about sociology(like Modern Society Theories, Communication Sociology) last semester. But I feel like I still don't understand many things about sociology. I want to understand how our societies are made, grow, and how they react to the things. I hope I can learn things like those in this class. So that I can understand more about sociology.
What I expect from this class is like these: writing, reading, and discussion. I think these are essential when learning sociology. It helps us express how we think about the things. I'm still not good at that, so I hope I could gain skills like these. And Editing Wikipedia would be nice, I think. Doing that, I guess I would be able to think about how the intelligence is created and developed. I know that Wikipedia is a kind of dictionary that anyone can edit and make, but I haven't used it a lot. For now. I guess I use it 2 times a year. I hope I can get a chance to use it more through this class.
It's a good chance to take a class like this, which makes us think about our society. I hope I can understand about our society more through this class. But after we study about sociology, what can we do with this thing? And what is our role when we studied sociology? I'm curious about this.

I hope we can resume our normal classes soon to have some real, face to face discussions. In the meantime, I hope our lectures will answer your other questions!
