I think dressing up, including makeup, could be an example of what has been considered a woman's domain. Men are not without makeup at all, but there are more women and many different types of makeup. I heard that men used to be ridiculed when they wore makeup and earrings in the past. On the contrary, I also have seen cases in which women are criticized by others if they do not wear makeup at work or part-time jobs. While there are many diverse and open attempts to cross gender compared to the past, some still remain cultural symbols of gender that have stayed in the past.
