Summary

This paper focuses on the role of ethnic groups in social development. The writer saw that ethnic distinctions resulted from political backlash against other peoples. It also said that national unity needs distinct goals, and ideological and organized mobilization of national cohesion. Ethnicity includes not only visible elements but also contextual elements. The term development, meanwhile, was understood as a linear causal relationship in terms of social evolution, or as the logic of capital in terms of neo-Marxism.
