W-Extra. “Duplicity of Sustainable Development.” / Kim Seon Woo
Summary
Sustainable development is an organizational principle that maintains the ability of natural systems to provide natural resources and ecosystem services that organizations, economies and societies depend upon, while achieving human development goals. The desired result is a social state in which living environments and resources are used to continue to meet human needs without compromising the integrity and stability of the natural world. Sustainable development can be defined as development that meets current needs without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their needs.
Interesting Point.
I am basically in favor of sustainable development. However, double-sidedness should be considered. The proposition of sustainable development is a loss for developing countries that just need to develop. The country will not be able to think of the environment from the perspective of just building an infrastructure and entering the global market. Therefore, I thought that the proposition of sustainable development was also a proposition for developed countries to prevent latecomers.
Discussion.
How can we confirm the authenticity of developed countries' claims for sustainable development?
