Preparing for an aging world&Why Our World Is Aging?

The world is aging. The population of people over 65 years old have never been so high before. That participation is predicted to keep on rising during the 21st century. As it's a situation that we haven't experienced before on that scale, it's still an expected outcome of the past occurrences like improving health care, better dealing with the diseases worldwide and also the population of the post World War II boom reached 65 years old. It brings a diametrical change to our lives especially in terms of economy. Many governments support their older citizens financially but it's often based on the work of the younger generations that through their work generate part of the country's budget. Since there are more and more people getting older and fewer young people, the current system is in threat. The problem starts to be present not only because of the lower fertility but also family model in many countries has changed. People are more likely to live separately and many times parents cannot count for the children's support anymore. Everything results in many seniors living alone.

Although the topic is present in the debate already for some time, the articles pointed out different aspects, both economical and those being more directly related to the people.

How do you think, is changing the population trend good for us? We're hearing about the overpopulated planet, do you think it's good for us to strive further expansion of population?
