Q. Why do we value the Internet? 

A. The Internet already accounts for almost all of our lives. Even home appliances are now pouring out products connected to the Internet. In this era, the inability to use the Internet is tantamount to not being able to read, and the resulting information inequality makes a person unable to work properly in society. To that extent, the Internet is important because it has a huge impact on our lives.
