W8. Technology, the Internet, and Virtual Worlds / Kim Seon Woo

Summary

Technology is a collection of technologies, methods, or processes used to achieve a goal, such as the production or scientific investigation of a product or service. Technology can be knowledge of technology, processes, etc., or embedded in machines, computers, devices, and factories, and can be operated by individuals without detailed knowledge of these tasks. Therefore, agricultural technology is a kind of technology, but it is also a technology to manufacture electric vehicles, computers, and homes. Technology primarily refers to knowledge that facilitates production, but often technology products are also referred to as technologies that can promote the production of a product or service or help achieve a goal. So, the process used to create a car is an example of a technology, but a car is also a form of technology that can achieve certain goals.
