Do you think that countries position are determined by the level of military technology they possessed?
(Particularly before the 21st century?)
I think the position of the country depends on the level of military technology they own. I think the level of military technology owned by the state today still has a significant impact on the country's global position. People became more aware of the dangers of weapons such as nuclear bombs after the United States dropped nuclear bombs on Japan during World War II. And the reason North Korea continues to strive to develop nuclear weapons today is because it thinks having nuclear weapons can raise its own country's position. In the 21st century, military technology has developed further, increasing the risk. So some argue that if all of the world's nuclear bombs are dropped on Earth, all life on Earth will die. (In fact, scientific facts and previous cases have proven the power of nuclear bombs.) So today, countries are aware of the dangers of technology, so they try not to let other countries use dangerous military technology. However, before the 21st century, war was frequent, so military technology was more likely to determine the level of the nation.
