Which of those are most useful for measuring social development?/ Kim Seonghui

captured from professor's Prezi

I think the inequality rate would be useful in measuring social development. Because I think that social development is that as many people as possible have equal opportunities to develop themselves and live happily. Even if the facility penetration rate is high and the education rate is high, many people still may not enjoy the degree of education and the use of facilities equally. Also, even if the economic development rate is high, people's perceptions may not have developed. In particular, if the inequality rate appears high despite the guarantee of equality by law, I think it could only mean that such a law was made in consideration of the gaze of other societies and that society and people's perceptions have yet to develop. Therefore, I think inequality is useful in measuring social development because it can measure how far people's consciousness has evolved.
