What is free culture and how it can help with social development?
The term "free
culture" was first used in 2003 at world leaders' talks on the information
society to present a free license for the creation of the first art by a team
in France since 2001. In other words, free culture refers to a state in which
it is free to distribute or modify other people's creations in the form of free
or open content using the Internet and other forms of media. This free-culture
movement opposes limited copyright laws and aims to create a society in which
free ideas can be exchanged, or "permit culture" is entrenched.
Therefore, such a free culture can improve people's creativity and affect
social development as accessibility increases and much freer exchange of ideas
becomes possible.
Q. But I had this
thought. Isn't it rather hindering social development that some people use
their works to confuse society with increased accessibility?
