What is free culture and how it can help with social development?/Lim Ji Won

The free-culture movement is a social movement that promotes the freedom to distribute and modify creative works as free content using the Internet and other media.

In other words, since copyright law can act as a factor that interferes with people's creativity, it is somewhat like giving the flexibility to distribute and modify. They call this system "permission culture." Examples of this culture are access to knowledge movement and copyleft.

How can this culture help society? In fact, because of the situation in which everyone needs to take an online lecture due to the Coronavirus-19, I think that the relaxation of copyright law can be a great help in class.

Professors say that they want to use various materials such as video and movies to improve the quality of the class, but the copyright law is so strict that many restrictions occur. In fact, it is said that I received a lot of e-mails containing copyright notices.

Of course, the rights of the creator are important, but the exercise of too much copyright can be a limitation of human rights and culture.
