Week 5-2 | Sociocultural evolution (2) | Lee Jaeseong

1. Summary
Let's look at the modern view of social and cultural development. First, it is a political point of view. During the Cold War, the United States and the Soviet Union began as the highest evolved culture. Sociologists in the United States argue that freedom and prosperity in the United States are proof of social development.
Secondly, it is a technical point of view. From this point of view, scientific terms such as RNA, DNA, and multicellularity come out. Life has changed through major innovations in information storage and cloning, including language and culture as a human-to-human information processing system. Society is gradually embracing the fusion of biology and technology.
Finally, from an anthropological point of view, progress is made in competition among tribes and says it is limited by ecological livelihood or natural capitalist incentives. The emphasis was on optimizing the ecology and social harmony of the group.

2. Interesting Point
The development of society from a technical point of view was new. Already, modern society is equipped with a variety of technologies. In the U.S., it is said that in the case of marriage, one in three couples already starts online. In the stock market, most transactions were automated.

3. Discussion
In addition to the story above, is the future society an automated society a more advanced one in the future?
