Week 4 | Cartoon Review : Eradicate Extreme Puppy and Hunger | Lee jaeseong
The cartoon tells the story of a Brazilian boy named Andres. As soon as Andre was born, he traveled around many residences. They were satisfied with the small house in their first city but had to move because of their father's unemployment. It takes as long as three days. In the second house, the Andres family was not able to eat enough food. Their father failed to find a proper job and they lived by picking up what people had dropped. Sometimes meeting scary people.
Andreas in the cartoon was a common poor immigrant. To work, to live a better life, to eat better food. There are also disadvantages of such changes in the environment. It was only about three pages long, but it was a cartoon that showed why the MDG's first goal, Eradicate Extreme Puppy and Hunger, was needed.
But at the MDG, this goal could not be said to be a success. Absolute poverty has diminished. However, relative poverty is less than before. There are many ambiguities in the flag. Do you think this problem was successful? If yes, why?
