The usefulness of MDG-related comics

I'd like to talk about the cartoon on the subject of first. The main character in the cartoon lives in Brazil, and in his childhood, his parents worked in the primary industry and lived in the countryside. And I moved around looking for land and farming. However, they moved to the city and lived in their uncle's house because they could not farm even if they moved. However, many people could not live in their uncle's house, and they were forced to leave their uncle's house to pick up trash.

The most impressive painting in the cartoon was the scene of being careful of cars when picking up garbage and running away from angry people. In fact, when people go to poor countries, they are often said to be cruel to others or steal things secretly because they are not properly educated about the harsh environment and theft or morality. I thought that if you were to compete in such an environment, pick up trash and run away from angry adults, you would acquire such negative characteristics.

And the most impressive phrase in the cartoon is that poor people are not lazy and poor because they are not willing to work. The more I get to know society, the more I feel like I'm facing this situation. People born poor are more likely to continue to be poor due to external factors such as the social environment, even if they try hard.

Also, even though poverty is not in the cartoon, even if it is not the individual's fault, the mere fact that they were born and raised poor has drawn negative attention from people around them and even the words "poverty is not a sin." I think, of course, all of the MDG's goals are important, but the most basic thing is that there are no people who are poor, who are threatened with life. So I hope that an era will come as soon as possible when all mankind can enjoy even a minimum life.
