Millennium Development Goals
Summary)
The Millennium Development Goals MDG was adopted by the United Nations in 2000, a global commitment to halving poverty by 2015. The promises are as follows. It is a global partnership that seeks to fight extreme poverty and hunger, achieve universal primary education, promote equality between men and women, reduce child mortality, improve maternal health, deal with HIV / AIDS, malaria and other diseases, ensure environmental sustainability, and seek development. And this millennial development goal began with the initial development goal of world leaders adopting the U.N. Millennium Declaration. However, the MDG is also criticized for setting goals and indicators that do not take into account different developing countries.
What's interesting, what's new?)
I actually heard MDG for the first time through this assignment, so everything was amazing. And I thought MDG was one of the moves to make a better world to live in. And I thought it was good because MDGs have many goals and they deal with various aspects such as human rights, environment, education, and life. And one of the successful examples of MDGs' success was the project that allowed them to produce adequate rice for sub-Saharan African climate.
The part I want to discuss with others)
MDGs have eight main goals. Among them, I wonder what is the goal that each of them is most interested in and why.
