W4/ Millennium Development Goals / Lee Hayoung
1. Summary
It will display the MDGs by reducing the Millennium Development Goals. The MDG began with the United Nations Millennium Declaration. The declaration claimed that all individuals had dignity. It was intended, therefore, to secure freedom and equal rights, the basic living standards of tolerance and solidarity, including freedom from hunger and violence. The MDG set specific goals and indicators for poverty reduction in order to achieve the rights set forth in the Declaration. There are a great deal of environmental issues and goals not only for education on human capital and human rights, but also for energy and telecommunications technology.
2. What was interesting
The MDG started with the early development goals of world leaders adopting the U.N. Millennium Declaration, but I wonder if that is why it has failed to face the reality of a truly harsh country. Criticism of the MDG shows that the lack of analytical power and the legitimacy of the selected goals are problematic, but it was interesting to note that despite the goal of improving the living power of all the people in the world, the opinions of those who really struggled were not reflected.
3. Discussion Point
It is true that there are problems, but there are certain countries that have been helped by the MDG. However, progress toward achieving the goal could not be selected for each country. What can we do to live together and develop together in a modern society where mutual understanding is easier than before?
