W4. Is this medium helpful in education children and teenagers with regards to social development topics? / Juhee Cha
In summary, the government in the past began taking children from indigenous villages to the Rediential School. However, the government did not pay enough money for the school to provide proper buildings and healthy food. Schools were always crowded and far more than accommodative. In this small space, the TB epidemic spread and many people began to get sick and die. So the medical health officer realized this seriousness and made efforts to provide enough food and clean water. In other countries, various diseases such as AIDS and malaria have claimed many lives, and countries and individuals should pay attention to these problems.
I thought the media could teach children interestingly how social problems are being solved now. And I think the awareness of such social problems, the efforts we can make right now, are well organized and shown. The characters are familiar to children of the same age as the children to read the cartoon, and they are constructed to naturally approach social problems through cartoons, the efforts we can make, and finally what the MDGs are pursuing.
I was reminded of the coronavirus, which has recently seen a rapid increase in deaths and confirmed cases. At the government level, the government is preparing policies for confirmed people and deaths, and individuals are also making efforts with their own interest through the "social distance-sharing campaign." However, it was sad that the number of confirmed people did not follow the policy. I think that individual efforts as well as the national level are needed to solve these virus problems. I hope this virus will end soon.
The coronavirus 19 is increasing rapidly, and is unpredictable. Will the coronavirus end? So what efforts should we and the nation make?
