W3. Which of those are most useful for measuring social development? / Kim Seon Woo

I think the desirable measures of social development are 'disposable income' and 'national happiness'. Whether it's GDP or GNI, the “disposable income” that can actually be used per person per household cannot be detailed.

In particular, Korea has a high proportion of self-employed people. Therefore, 'disposable income', which is a measure of the ability of an individual to actually consume, comes first. And I think the “National Happiness Index”, which measures whether it is actually linked to “happiness” in making and consuming that income, is a good measure to evaluate the development of the society.
