W3 Reading: Social development at World Bank/ joon hee Lee

Social development needs to prioritize people in the development process. Poverty is not just a problem for low-income families, and development should contribute to creating a society in which the poor and the vulnerable are not alienated from society and harmonize with each other. This is because there are many examples and data that this leads to economic growth and improved quality of life. The World Bank is committed to various projects related to them to include the underprivileged in the development process. In addition, the World Bank's board of directors has created a new social organization that can promote protection and sustainable development of people and the environment," said ESF.

Frankly speaking, I knew nothing about the World Bank. However, after reading this article, I found that they were paying keen attention to the various problems and future directions of society and were making great efforts around the world to do so. I also found that the criteria for development vary from the social development theory mentioned last time, and I felt that development was focused on "equality”, “environment protection.”  and “sustainability”.

The World Bank tries to contribute in its own way to social development. Their way is a way that many people don't try, and I think it's definitely a good move. So, are there more people and organizations like these who strive for social development? If so, I wondered what kind of form they were.
