W3. How useful the WB pages are compared to Wikipedia description?/ Kim Seonghui
Wikipedia's explanation of social development was more about theory. There was a lot of talk about how social development is achieved and what methods and factors are made. On the other hand, for example, the explanation of social development on the World Bank page was more of an example. In particular, there have been many cases of what the World Bank is doing for social development. It also describes the results of what the World Bank has done. For one example, the $300 million Results-based Rural Sanitation and Water Supply Program in Vietnam has incorporated ethnic minority guidelines to ensure measurable and equal benefits for rural sanitation and water supply to minorities in 21 provinces. I'm surprised because I didn’t know anything about what the World Bank is doing for social development. But I think they are focus on working on economic development more than other development.
I wonder if you think the World Bank is acting well for social development as a central being of international financial institutions.
