Sustainable development / Kim Ami
1. Summary
Sustainable
development is the organizational principle to achieve the human development
goal of simultaneously maintaining the ability of the natural system to provide
natural resources and ecosystem services that the economy and society depend
on. Over time, sustainable development has come to focus on socially inclusive
and environmentally sustainable economic growth, namely economic development,
social development and environmental protection for future generations. To make
this development successful, the world sought to enhance sustainable
development education (ESD) aimed at empowering and equipping current and future
generations to meet their needs. This article explains that the ESD should
consider the social, environmental and economic dimensions of human development
and the various ways in which they relate to education, and that a revolution
can occur when the state guarantees that such education can be done for the
rest of its.
2. Interesting point
What was interesting was that critics defined
"sustainable development" as a vague and unrealistic concept. They
say the world has used unrealistic concepts as promotional slogans to help poor
countries get out of poverty and developed countries to develop further. Then,
can we say that sustainable development is an unrealistic concept? Seeing
countries increasingly trying to reach this development, I think they will be
able to achieve sustainable development.
3. Discuission
Do you think sustainable development is an
unrealistic concept?
I don't think sustainable development is an unrealistic concept. It will be increasingly possible to improve the quality of human life while protecting the environment. I think sustainable development can be achieved through education, development and research on renewable resources for people's values. I also think that the more countries are interested in sustainable development, the more feasible they will become.
ReplyDeleteThere is a slight contradiction in the word sustainable development. Because I think it is almost impossible to share the environment and economic development. This is because the industries underlying economic development almost unconditionally cause environmental pollution. The same is true of agriculture and other industries.
