Social development theory / Lee Hayoung
1. Summary
Social development theory explains social structure and qualitative changes in the framework so that society's goals can be better realized. The basic mechanism that drives social change is to raise awareness that leads to better organizations. When we sense new opportunities and better opportunities for society to advance, we develop new forms of organization and make successful use of these new openings. Society goes through well-defined stages of development. They are a nomadic group, farming in rural areas, cities, commerce, industry and post-industrial society. A pioneer introduces new ideas, customs, and customs that conservative elements resist first. In subsequent stages, innovation is accepted, imitated, organized and used by other members of the community. Organization improvements introduced to support innovation take place at the same time at four levels: physical, social, mental, and psychological. Human beings are developing society in many ways.
2. What was interesting
In many cases, pioneers come up with innovative ideas, but the initial reaction to pioneers is apathy, ridicule, and even hostility. Still, if the pioneers continue to succeed in their initiatives, their efforts will ultimately be accepted by the masses. It is a modern society that accepts a lot of creative human resources, but it was interesting that the first people in any field, despite their efforts for better development, must be excluded first and must persuade their good intentions.
3. Discussion Point
According to the text, one of the strongest means of propagating and maintaining new development is the social education system. Although teachers and students have lived in different times, our society is changing faster and faster. How will future education proceed if there is finally a situation where teachers cannot experience the culture of the student generation?
