How useful the WB pages are compared to Wikipedia description?/ Changyu Jung
In the WB pages, we can see how World Bank support social development. They listen to the voices of people in the countries, and understand the needs of them. Also, they make social organization which is accessible to people. And, the World Bank funds societies to stand on their own feet. So we can see how people can promote social development in other countries.
I think this WB pages are not that useful compared to Wikipedia description. The information in the pages was concise and not that specific. I felt like more specific information should be added in the pages. And I thought the information in the pages was biased. It describes the activities of World Bank only in a good way. In my opinion, some specific information should be added and describe the activities in a more neutral way. So I think we can see some practical examples of social development in the pages but it's a little hard to understand conceptual parts. I guess it's good to use WB pages when looking for practical examples, not when looking for definition or conceptual part.
World Bank support social development in countries by funding them and making social organizations in there. Do you think activities like this are appropriate?
