Are the MDG-related comics useful?

Each of the comic books presents different Millenium Development Goals. It makes it really accessible for people to get to know each of the goals and explain what is the situation of the people that are affected by certain issues. The issues that for many people in "more developed" countries are often hard to imagine because they have never experienced it. By picturing those situations, it makes it also easier to understand. I think they could be especially useful for the younger audience to present the diversity of people's situations around the world. However, I think those comics could be more useful if used right. Because of them being translated just to English and French, the population that is being reached is still limited. Also, I find it lacking in promotional measures that could help to reach more people and spread information about the social development issues and the concept of the Development Goals itself. It's definitely not a standard way of presenting the information but using different channels raises chances to reach more people with its message.

A similar adaptation was introduced also regarding the SDGs. The stories are called "Fairy Tales for a Fairer World", try to cover the content of the SGDs and are currently translated to English, Chinese, French, Spanish, Russian, Greek, Arabic, and Polish. Though also this version isn't vastly known.

What could be done to raise the popularity of such productions? Can it have a significant influence if spread widely?
