What are the pros and cons of using Naver versus Google for research purposes?/ Changyu Jung
Google and Naver. Both of them are used a lot when people search. Both of them are have pros and cons when talking about research purposes. Google definitely has massive information. If you want to find something for research purpose, I'm sure you will find it on Google. It is easy to find journals and articles about something in Google. But sources from Google are mostly in English. So if you are not a native-English speaker, it is hard to tell the meaning of the difference of the words. But these days, it's getting easier to find journals that is written on Korean in Google.
Naver is a Korean website, so it's really find information that is written on Korean and some Korean stuff. But there are not that many academic information. There are more news and daily stuff. So it's not that good for research purpose. But academic information is increasing in Naver, too.
Both of them are good. I suggest you don't pick one. Try both of them.
